Dennis Donnelly

Through a varied career I have tried to blend active hands-on therapy with research, training and community involvement. In over 40 years I have been involved in holistic healthcare as a lecturer, researcher and therapist at many levels of activity.

Whilst working at Liverpool John Moores University I was involved with developing Masters Level courses in holistic healthcare, I also pioneered an osteopathic service within the NHS delivering therapy to GP practices in north Liverpool which ran for 25 years. During that time I saw many long term and hard to treat patients with good outcomes.

I was very involved in research and development at a national level, holding a National Action Zone Research Fellowship into Integrated Healthcare, where my work was presented to the Parliamentary Select Committee on Complementary Medicine. On the strength of this work I was appointed Special Adviser to the Prince of Wales Foundation for Integrated Healthcare (POWFIH) between 2001-2003.

I then created and developed several Community Health Projects in the Northwest for which I was Clinical Director between 2008 – 2012. We won several awards and attracted European Social Fund money to develop programs of Self-care for ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia; and training in Holistic Health Self-care, where we could licence practitioners to work in Community Health settings.

All of this work was rigorously audited and continuously validated to show therapeutic benefit for all the participants.

I have run my own Osteopathic private practice since 1992.

Ed Snoad

Ed is a fully qualified Osteopath having obtained his honours degree in Osteopathy from the European School of Osteopathy in Kent (part of the University of Greenwich).

He is fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC), the professional governing body of all Osteopaths in the UK, and a member of the British Osteopathic Association (BOA). The General Osteopathic Council strictly governs all aspects of Osteopathic training and practice to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety are met.

As a member of the GOsC’s register of osteopaths, Ed is recognised by many private heath insurance companies.

Ed prides himself in a professional, yet caring and friendly approach with his patients, and he strives to put patients well-being paramount at all times.

Everyone is unique, and in keeping with the philosophy of osteopathy, Ed designs treatments to cater for each individual's body-type & their specific needs. This is re-enforced by his personal experience in practice; that patients who are relaxed & comfortable during treatments, heal faster!

Ed is skilled in a wide range of osteopathic treatment techniques, from structural to cranial and functional. He believes the use of a wide variety of techniques can help to maximise the body’s chances of faster healing and stimulate broad tissue repair. He has found from experience that when certain techniques are combined they can be more effective on ’stubborn’ problems, which may have previously failed to respond to treatment.
